Job Description

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


Conducting day-to-day responsibilities such as seeing patients and responding accordingly
Analyzing records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient
Prescribing or administering treatment, therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
Preform procedures on patients who are qualified for treatments
Monitoring patients' condition and progress and re-evaluating treatments as necessary
Maintaining strict patient confidentiality in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Referring patients to physicians and outside practices and hospitals in conjunction with patient diagnosis
Meeting with and discussing the development of new pharmaceuticals with sales representatives
Managing patient records using the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
Maintaining a portfolio of continuing professional development activities
Potentially supervising a Physician’s Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Attend regular provider meetings with senior management

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, Medical school, and Anesthesiologist residency program required
Fellowship in Pain Management
Board Certified
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment
Good listening skills; strong verbal communication skills with a diverse range of individuals
Must have the ability to work well under pressure and stay calm/focused on emergency situations
Ability to think on feet
Be highly self-motivated and results-driven individual
Have the willingness to serve patients in a high-pressure environment
Good bedside manner, be emotionally stable and have the ability to make decisions in emergency situations
A desire for further education to keep up with ever changing medical advances
Be comfortable working with computers
